Here's what we know so far about the new Toyota Hilux

The new Toyota Hilux is expected to be unveiled later this year , so later in 2025 .

Headlight magazine, so a publication from Thailand has just snapped a bunch of pictures of the new Hilux testing in Thailand .

And it brings us a bit of disappointing news and that is that it appears to be a carryover platform from the current Hilux .

The centre of the vehicle looks identical to the current generation Hilux because it looks identical.

It is very unlikely that this Hilux will launch with a hybrid because it will be untested in this type of platform to the degree that you would expect a workhorse like the Hilux to have.

The TNGAF platform currently supports a petrol hybrid that they use in the Land Cruiser over in the U.S. And I think they are currently testing that drivetrain for Land Cruiser Prada in Australia , which means they would probably plug it into here.

The new Hilux is expected to launch in Australia later this year .

It will be the first time we have seen a new model of the Hilux since 2004 .

We expect it to launch globally, but we will keep you posted.
