The A16 5 G quietly launched internationally at the end of October , but here in the US , Samsung only just announced this phone this week for a January 9th release date.

While the full retail price is technically $ 199 right now, I do have a couple suggestions to help save you some money.

This is a great looking, very bold and colorful OLED display for the price.

Samsung calls the A 16 simply sophisticated with a redesigned frame and back cover that's sleek and functional, but it's mostly the same as last year .

The screen to body ratio on this phone still isn't great and the thick black borders, bulky bottom chin, and dated selfie camera notch make the phone look cheaper.

The A 16 is now IP 54 , dust and splash resistant, but theoretically a little tougher than the uncertified previous A-15 .

This is a more simple smartphone for the easy everyday stuff, just staying connected with friends and family, browsing social media, enjoying your usual streaming apps and other content.

The camera setup seems to be the exact same hardware from last year's a 15.2 -megapixel A Sixteen 5G.

The triple lens cameras include A50 megapixel F 1.8 aperture main shooter main shooter A5 megapixel ultra wide lens and A2 megapixel macro for up close pictures.
