B.C. Conservatives used question period to dramatize repeated closures of emergency rooms at provincial hospitals.
They cited a staggering 1,407 closures, of various lengths in days , at 20 hospitals over the past two years .
Each question capped with a challenge to Premier David Eby to explain why that is acceptable health care.
Eby didn’t rise to the bait, not even once.
Jim Sinclair , the longtime labour leader at Fraser Health , chairs the board.
He’s held the post since the NDP took office in 2017 , establishing a reputation as a hands-on overseer.
“There are some issues that have to be dealt with,” Sinclair conceded Wednesday .
