Brenda Song Reintroduces Herself: On ‘Running Point,’ Child Stardom, and Life With Macaulay Culkin

Brenda Song is now starring alongside Kate Hudson in Running Point, a new series from Mindy Kaling streaming on Netflix .

The actress says she was insecure about her career after welcoming two children in quick succession with Macaulay Culkin .

The series is based on the real-life L.A. Lakers executive producer and Lakers owner Jeanie Buss .

Song says she's a fan of the Lakers , but was nervous about the project.

Song started acting at the tender age of six.

She found early success as a performer on the Disney Channel during its mid-2000s heyday .

But it was 2005 ’s The Suite Life of Zack and Cody , a comedy of errors about twin boys living in a luxury hotel, that changed her life before it aired.

Song graduated from Fincher and Aaron Sorkin’s fictional Harvard and entered the entry-level work of playing assistants on Scandal and the Fox sitcom Dads .

She graduated from Disney 's Wendy Wu : Homecoming Warrior, the 2006 Disney Channel original movie that gave her top billing for the first time.

“The beautiful thing about our art form is that it lives forever,” she says.
