I think for me, what's important is making sure I teach them along the way instead of just cutting them off and making them feel deprived of things like that's where you're going to cause maybe issues down the line with a relationship with food.

So hey, we don't eat XY and Z because they have fake stuff in it and I put it in, you know, 8 year old terms.

I think that really what it comes down to, not just for children but for parents is a lack of education.
