One third of those emissions cuts will come from decisions made by households.
Switching to electric cars and switching to gas boilers could save hundreds of pounds .
But it depends on what the government does next to help people save money.

Energy Secretary Ed Miliband said the advice is independent of government policy.
He said: "We owe it to current generations to seize the opportunities for energy security and lower bills".
