Warren Buffett: America's businesses 'usually find a way'

Warren Buffett , legendary investor and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway (BRK-A), wants everyone to know that he remains a long-term bull on U.S. stocks.
Buffett acknowledges that the value of marketable equities — companies that continue to trade publicly in the stock market — held by Berkshire declined last year .
“Businesses, as well as individuals with desired talents, however, will usually find a way to cope with monetary instability as long as their goods or services are desired,” Buffett said.
Prices for previously owned homes declined from last month’s levels but were above year ago levels.
Housing starts fell 9.8% in January to an annualized rate of 1.37 million units, according to the Census Bureau .
The average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage declined to 6.85% from 6.87% last week .
The U.S. economy remains very healthy, supported by strong consumer and business balance sheets.
