He tripped in the frenzy and the moment he fell, the gator's jaws closed on him.

He managed to hold on to his dogs' leashes, and managed to keep them on their leashes.

Neighbors Walt Rudder and Paula Keegan were driving by when they saw and heard him on his side, next to his two dogs, screaming for help.

Rudder ran over and ran the alligator over with it, and it held up well and ran back down to the pond.
