Kitchen appliance maker Ninja surveyed 2,000 people and studied online search trends for popular UK dishes.

Based on various metrics, the appliance making firm has given a predicted 'date of extinction' for each dish.

With a weekly decline of 0.86 per cent it is expected to disappear by 2027 .

Victoria sponge cake, Kent 's Gypsy tart, scones, rhubarb crumble, Banbury cakes and jam tarts.

Ninja hopes results will give underappreciated dishes a new lease of life.
