President Trump 's proposal to take over Gaza and resettle Palestinians elsewhere has sent shock waves through the Middle East .

The king of Jordan has rejected Trump 's plan but met with him this week and attempted to maintain good relations with the U.S. Gaeth Alomari , a senior fellow at the Washington Institute , says it will hurt rather than help.
