'City-killer' asteroid 2024 YR4 could hit the moon instead of us, scientists say

The asteroid, 2024 YR4, measures 180 feet ( 55 meters ) across and travels at nearly 30,000 mph ( 48,000 kph ) It could wipe out a major city, releasing about 8 megatons of energy upon impact.
An international team of scientists has been granted emergency use of the James Webb Space Telescope to study the asteroid.
