The 2024 Moto G is a relatively cheap Android device with decent enough specs that you can buy factory unlocked or at a steep discount from a prepaid carrier.

At 6.6 inches , it's just a smidge smaller than the Moto G Power and just a bit bigger than the smaller and more expensive Moto G options.

The phone supports esimimimabyte SD card support, which is twice as much as the cheaper Moto G Play if you wanted to compare.

The Moto G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen. 1 processor paired to just 4 gigabytes of ram.

This phone supposedly will only get one major Android update in its lifetime.

Motorola stuck with the dual stereo speakers this year and the out loud listening experience is pretty good.

The only positive here is that this phone does offer a 120 Hertz high refresh rate mode.

The new 2024 Moto G , sans any descriptor or defining feature whatsoever, really, is a phone that squeezes itself into Motorola 's lineup.

In some ways it's better than the Moto G Play, but that phone is like 130 bucks now and free from some carriers if you sign up for a plan.

And I think it's shortcomings like the four gigabytes of ram, the low res display and lackluster camera setup make this phone less of an enticing deal.
