Staff presented an update on Calgary ’s water distribution system to the infrastructure and planning committee on Wednesday .
Another project to increase redundancy proposes twinning, in phases, the Bearspaw south feeder main, which ruptured last June , plunging the city into a months -long water crisis.
Staff suggested construction could get underway by the end of 2025 but the design, construction timelines and budget for the project have yet to be determined.
