Two youths charged in series of southwest Calgary iPhone robberies

Calgary Police Service has charged two city youths who are believed to be responsible for the theft of multiple iPhones in Calgary ’s Braeside community.
In January 2025 , one victim posted an iPhone online for sale, and arranged to meet with a potential buyer at approximately 2 p.m. on Jan. 25 in the 11000 block of Braniff Road S.W. When the victim got out of her vehicle at the location, she was met by two young boys who stole the iPhone , bear sprayed her and escaped on foot.
A 12-year-old male is charged with three counts of robbery, two counts of possession of a dangerous weapon.
