Hubie Brown was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2005 .
He received a standing ovation during the opening timeout as a video honoring him aired on the Fiserv Forum scoreboard.
"I have so many things to be thankful for, but my family and I can never thank everyone enough," Brown says.
Brown coached 15 seasons with the ABA 's Kentucky Colonels and NBA 's Atlanta Hawks .
"He gave a very impressive history run on Hubie and even knew the reason his last game was in Milwaukee is because this is where it all started, with him and Larry Costello ," Rivers said. Brown said that's what made it so appropriate to finish his career in Milwaukee . "For me to end it here is very meaningful because I learned so much here," Brown said..
