Researchers in China have developed a new type of humanoid robot that can walk and run over a variety of terrains.

The G1 Bionic robot can reach speeds of about 4.5 miles per hour ( 7.2 kilometers per hour ) It uses 3D lidar sensors and depth-sensing cameras that enable the robot to perceive its environment in real time.

The robot's joints also use force-control technology to dynamically adjust power output, enabling it to remain balanced.
