President Trump welcomes Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to the White House

I'm delighted to welcome Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu back to the White House .

He's the first foreign head of state to visit during our administration.

I'm confident that under our leadership, the cherished alliance between our two countries will soon be stronger than ever.

I recognized Israel 's capital, opened the American embassy in Jerusalem and got it built by the way.

The only reason the Palestinians want to go back to Gaza is they have no alternative.

The US will take over the Gaza Strip , and we will do a job with it too. We'll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site. Level the site and get rid of the destroyed buildings. Create an economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for the people of the area. Do a real job. Do something different. Just can't go back. If you go back, it's going to end up the same way it has for 100 years .

Mr. President, I'm honored that you invited me to be the first foreign leader to visit the White House in your second term.

This is a testament to your friendship and support for the Jewish state and the Jewish people.
