Calgary -based Falkbuilt CEO Mogens Smed says the company has a plan and it will survive.

"He’s going to want more, I can tell you that right now. We’ve got to be ready for that,” Smed said of the U.S. president on Tuesday .

“The uncertainty caused by this is just as stressful as if the tariffs were to come in today . We are still under pressure, waiting and seeing what is going to happen”.

Entrepreneurs need to understand this isn’t the end of the dispute, says Carlo Dade , the Canada West Foundation’s director of trade.

Dade believes the rhetoric needs to be toned down as talks continue.

The Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) is scheduled to come up for a mandatory review next year .
