•Dads in Finland taking more parental leave

Finns took more parental leave from work last year than in 2023 , according to the Social Insurance Institution of Finland , Kela .
The year-on-year increase was 5.3 percent , with fathers using about one-fifth of available parental leave benefits.
In 2022 , only 12 percent of fathers left work to care for their children, but the following year the proportion of dads taking the leave grew to 21 percent .
