That's four per cent of total global emissions, double that of the aviation industry.
Streaming services have a negative effect on the environment due to the power required to transfer data a large proportion of which is generated by non-renewable energy sources like coal and coal.

Paris Agreement of 2015 said warming of the earth must be limited to a well below 2C increase.
