This week on How to Cake It, Yolanda shows you how to make a Black Forest cake

This week Yolanda is creating her spin on a Black Forest cake.

Instead of whipped cream, she will be using Italian meringue buttercream and some ganache and chocolate buttercream.

We're going to decorate this cake with yummy chocolate bark all around the outside to make it look like a tree trunk.

We use pretzel rods, both thick and thin, and some green compound chocolate.

It's a good idea to use like a sculpting tool to poke a hole down into the cake first .

I had the mall, like, lined up against each other. That was a dense forest with a trail going between. I want to shrink and run through this forest. I would not be afraid of that forest. No, That is some outdoor life for me.
