This is my Rycon planer.

It planes up to 16 inches wide.

It's got the helical head, which leaves a buttery smooth top.

This is great for planning boards flat especially if you don't have a joiner or if your joiner is not wide enough.

Hard Maple will always burn, but we could always rough cut the first one and then do just a tiny sliver of a cut.

It can be a little dangerous to have your fence that close to the blade.

Some of my favorite housemaid jigs for the table saw is this saddle that goes over the fence and then I can use this to make splines for picture frames.
