In 2900 B.C. hundreds of stones were placed on the Danish island of Bornholm to possibly improve crop conditions in the area and bring back the sun to its original glory.

Researchers found 614 stone plaques and plaque fragments at a site in the south of Sweden .

The objects were spread throughout the palisade ditch.

The plant and sun designs were etched into the stones.

The stones' association with the sun was made due to the imageries and the groups' affinity with the star.
