•Teenaged victim of fatal pedestrian collision was 'beloved by many,' sister says

Amy Tran , 17 , died after she was struck and pinned by a vehicle at a Calgary intersection last Wednesday .
Her family has identified Amy , a Grade 12 student at nearby Lester B. Pearson High School , as the victim of the fatal pedestrian collision.
Amy was on her way home after writing her social studies diploma exam when the incident occurred.
Amy had recently been accepted into the University of Calgary's engineering program.
A 17-year-old girl was hit in a marked crosswalk by a Ford EcoSport driven by a 75-year old woman, police said.
Failure to stop at a stop sign is being investigated as a cause of the collision.
Amy Tran ’s funeral is set to take place Wednesday , her sister said.
