Segway 's first e-bikes have been teased for over a year but are now finally coming to market.
The Xafari and the Xyber are Class 2 Class 2 electric bikes with pedal-assist and throttle power.
Xabari has a more traditional e-bike design with a low unisex crossbar and a handy rack on the back.
In race mode, it will do 0-20mph in 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 35mph .
It also features a 2.4-inch display for the speed and ride information, plus a new scroll wheel for the power levels.
Segway Xafari and Xyber can only be used on private land in the US .
UK rules require a maximum of 250W with a 15.5mph limit, plus power assistance by pedalling only.
As with electric scooters, in the UK these throttle-powered e-bikes are only allowed to be driven by pedal-only.
