Messier 67 , or M67 , is a large, loosely bound group of sun-like stars dwelling in the Milky Way, our home galaxy.
Astronomers found 11 puzzlingly young stars in M67 were found to spin at perplexingly high speeds.
The researchers' best guess is that the white dwarf is a telltale remnant of a merger of stars that once orbited each other every few days .
