Exclusive | Hall of Fame voters expect ‘fireworks’ in complex Eli Manning induction debate

The Pro Football Hall of Fame Selection Committee will meet via Zoom to sort through 15 modern-era finalists eligible for enshrinement in Canton .

The expectation is that the discussion about Manning 's candidacy could be polarizing and contain “some fireworks” The five first -time finalists are five players on the ballot for the first time.

There is statistical data to support Manning ’s case, but also plenty of eye-test evidence, and a lack of honors and awards.

The 2025 Hall of Fame class will be announced Feb. 6 .

The other finalists are cornerback Eric Allen , defensive end Jared Allen , offensive tackle Willie Anderson , tight end Antonio Gates and wide receiver Torry Holt .

Manning is one of just 13 quarterbacks with two Super Bowl championships, seven already enshrined.
