NAIROBI ( Reuters ) - The United States will impose sanctions on Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo , the leader of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, which has been locked in a devastating war with the Sudanese army for control of the country, two diplomatic sources said on Tuesday . The United States determined that the RSF perpetrated genocide during the war, the sources said, having previously determined it perpetrated ethnic cleansing in West Darfur in 2023 .
