Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a U.S. Army veteran aged 42 , was the suspect in the New Year’s Day attack in New Orleans that killed 14 people after a truck was rammed into a crowd of revelers.
He was killed in a shootout with police after the rampage, which also injured dozens of people.
Jabbar made at least two trips to New Orleans in the months prior to the attack, one in October and the other in November .
