•Russia to Lift Ban on Nuclear Missile Deployment: Lavrov
79% Informative
Russia will abandon nuclear arms treaty with the U.S. banning the deployment of short- and intermediate-range nuclear missiles, Moscow 's foreign minister says.
The INF Treaty , signed in 1987 by Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev , is no longer in force and does not bind either state.
Russia said it would not deploy missiles banned under this treaty "until US -manufactured missiles of similar classes" are rolled out, known as its INF moratorium.
