Eva: Appreciation of Finnishness has declined

Finnish Business and Policy Forum surveyed Finnish people's appreciation of their national identity has declined.

Three-quarters of respondents to the survey considered Finnishness to be a privilege and a source of pride.

This marked a significant drop from over 80 percent in autumn 2021 and nearly 90 percent during the spring of 2020 , at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Economic confidence appears to be key factor dampening national pride.
