Two major traffic bottlenecks in Vancouver have been cleared after sewer and water main work wrapped up this month .
The infrastructure upgrades included new sewer pipes in the area of Oak Street and West 70th Avenue and water pipes on key downtown commuter West Pender Street .
The upgrades are part of a 2023 -26 capital plan the city is undertaking to renew aging water and sewer infrastructure.
