Luigi Mangione , 26 , has been charged with first -degree murder in the death of UnitedHealth CEO Brian Thompson .
The Ivy League graduate is accused of shooting Thompson , 50 , in the leg and the leg of the leg.

Authorities say Mangione got on an electric-powered bike and rode into Central Park , where he ditched the backpack.

Police later found spent 9-millimeter shell casings and a live round with the words “deny,” “delay,’ and “depose” written on them.
Authorities in Pennsylvania say he spent several days there, traveling to Pittsburgh before ending up in Altoona .
