Sen. Mitt Romney gave a farewell press conference in Utah on Friday .
He said his time on the political stage "is over" and that he agrees with President Trump on most policy issues.
Romney said he will likely spend some time with college students after leaving office.
He also spoke about how he thinks the Democrats are in “real trouble” with the incoming president.
Romney says he plans to stay in the Republican Party , but he no longer considers himself part of the “mainstream” of the party.
“I think the Democrat Party is in real trouble, by the way, because they’ve lost their base,” he says.
