Windsor mayor, business leaders slam Essex County budget cut to Invest WindsorEssex

Since the successful recruitment of the NextStar Energy plant in March 2022 , Windsor and Essex County have experienced record population growth of over 41,000 people.

From January 2023 until October 2024 , IWE has attracted six new plants worth $63.2 million in the county, creating 207 new jobs.
