79% Informative
OpenAI ’s new AI -generated video-generating AI can generate up to 20-second -long videos.
From a text prompt or image, the model can generate a video of a Super Mario Bros. clone or a Call of Duty shooter.
It can also spit out a clip showing an arcade fighter in the style of a ’90s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle game.
The courts may decide that generative AI has a “highly convincing transformative purpose,” following the precedent set roughly a decade ago in the publishing industry’s suit against Google .
If a generative model regurgitated a copyrighted work, a person who then went and published that work could still be held liable for IP infringement.
