Transportation Minister Devin Dreeshen says there will be a 70 per cent cut because they are a “cash cow” Calgary Police Service spokesman Michael Hill showed evidence that using photo radar has reduced injury collisions by 25 per cent in 20 key locations.
He says restricting photo radar will hamstring police officers from enforcing traffic safety.
