A federal appeals court declines to review a law that could force TikTok to sell its Chinese parent company.

Lawmakers and national security officials have long had suspicions about TikTok 's ties to China .

The appeals court said the decision will have "significant implications" for TikTok and its users.

The parties asked the Supreme Court to make a decision by Friday .
