•Indiana teen earns 'Young Patriot' award for refusing to remove flag from truck: 'Men and women have died for that flag'
51% Informative
Cameron Blazik , 18 , was told he could not fly the flag from the back of his truck at school.
The Indiana high school principal and the school board ended up backing down on their statement.
Blasik seems to have inspired viral patriotism.
He says he's glad and happy that the whole situation was me and not somebody else.
We drove all the way down there and we we did it. So I want to give a thank you to them for walking into their lives. I also want to give a thank you to my local VFW. They were a huge help throughout all of this. The company who did the wrap on my truck, GCI , Simple Solutions and Services , and last but not least, my mother and father, they're the ones who made me who I am. So thank you. Thank you all so much, I appreciate it..
