Why Royal Society scientists want to kick out member Elon Musk

Elon Musk is facing an attempt to oust him from the Royal Society .

Oxford University professor Dorothy Bishop resigned as a Fellow of the Society in protest at Musk’s continued membership.

She said she was not going to be polite and nice’ to Elon Musk .

But some FRS members have told The Telegraph they support his fellowship.

Elon Musk was elected a fellow of the Royal Society in 2013 .

Dorothy Bishop has resigned as a fellow member of the society.

She said she was 'unhappy with this response' and pointed to a 2022 Musk tweet “My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci ” - which they said was “antivaxx”.
