180 Canadian soldiers depart for Latvia for the largest overseas mission by the Canadian Armed Forces .

The Canadian -led NATO Multinational Brigade Latvia is part of the biggest reinforcement of NATO collective defence in a generation.

For the first time since Afghanistan , Canada will have tanks on the ground once more.

“I think working with our allies is more exciting than worrying,” Houde said.
