Biologist : Eating too much added sugar causes traffic jams inside cells.
The same proteins that are slowed down by the traffic jams are involved in a long list of chronic diseases.
The next big question is how to use this new information to reverse chronic disease.
All three researchers said they've changed their behavior as a result of learning about these "traffic jams" "Knowing what it is that I do when I have my excess sugar, it's easier to avoid it somehow," Young said.
