Claire Thompson returns to the ice for her first season as a professional hockey player.
The 26-year-old Princeton graduate returns to play for the Minnesota Frost in the PWHL.
Thompson helped Canada win gold at the 2022 Beijing Olympics , scoring two goals and 11 assists in Beijing .
The Princeton graduate was drafted third overall by Minnesota in June , and has since rejoined Team Canada .
Thompson wants to specialize in orthopedic surgery, though she made all the rounds as part of her clerkship last year while practicing with the NYU men’s club team.
“I love to be able to do both things, but unfortunately I can’t be at two places at once,” she said.
