The National House Building Council will invest 100 m in the first tranche of 32 new skills hubs planned by the government.
The scheme has attracted a total of 140 m in industry investment, which will open up around 5,000 construction apprenticeship places each year .
The aim of the hubs is to “immerse apprentices in real-site conditions from day one ”.
