Tesla spent 2020 and 2021 perfecting the art of building the Gigafactory , starting in Berlin , Germany , then breaking ground in Austin , TX , and then constructing the two most advanced vehicle manufacturing plants in the world simultaneously.

The construction of both modern Giga factories took full advantage of prefabricated modular construction materials.

The internal volume of Giga Austin is enough to hold 194 billion hamsters.

The floor plan is designed to optimize production time with multiple processes happening simultaneously and then coming together in the middle.

This is the existing layout for Model Y production at Giga Texas , an assembly line that Elon Musk hopes will ramp up to a rate of 500,000 cars per year in the near future.

Giga Nevada work has just begun to expand the Sparks NV factory to accommodate both new battery cell manufacturing and the main production line for Tesla 's electric Semi truck.
