Alexandria high school football playoff games were postponed after Hayfield Secondary School's team found itself in the spotlight again.

The Virginia High School League had banned the Alexandria school from the playoffs for two years over alleged recruiting violations.

Now, some teams will have to play three games in the span of just nine days .

Fairfax County School Board Member Mateo Dunne called for an external investigation.

But it still will not provide us an answer on what exactly happened at Hayfield ," Dunne said. "We still need a broader investigation, so that we can answer the questions from our constituents and provide the public with the confidence that all our athletic programs - not just football, not just at Hayfield , but all across the county - are being done with fidelity to the rules and with integrity.".
