•Review: After 21 years, Bruce Springsteen returns to the Saddledome with epic, 27-song classic
49% Informative
Bruce Springsteen played a sold-out show at the Saddledome in Calgary on Saturday night .
He hadn’t played a Calgary show since 2003 .
For all the grandeur and sing-a-long moments Saturday night , the concert also had its strong reminders of Springsteen ’s prowess delivering a variety of tones.
While nearly 50 years old , the songs from Springsteen ’s 1975 breakthrough album Born to Run have not lost any of their swirling melodrama or scope.
The evening was full of musical highlights, some were expected and some were n’t .
After nearly three hours , the evening ended with Springsteen by himself on acoustic guitar singing I’ll See You In My Dreams.
