Hundreds of Calgarians gathered at the Field of Crosses on Memorial Drive for a special ceremony honouring the sacrifices made by fallen members of Canada ’s armed forces.
For the Night of Lights ceremony on Sunday evening , lanterns were placed in front of more than 3,200 crosses that honour southern Albertans who lost their lives fighting for their country in times of war.
