William Crockett was one of 14 men to lose their lives following the fire in 1960 .
His son, William Cruickshank , 71 , will receive the award at a ceremony later this year .
The award is the civilian equivalent of the Elizabeth Cross , given to military personnel.
The award will also go to the family of Det Sgt William Ross Hunt who was killed while on duty in 1983 .
PC Lewis Fulton , whose widow Christine has fought for those who kill emergency workers to receive mandatory life sentences, will receive the honour 30 years on from his death.
