•Warhol, Group of Seven works exhibited at Norberg Hall in Calgary prior to major art auction

Andy Warhol’s portrait of Mick Jagger , a harrowing study by Cree artist Kent Monkman , two abstract paintings by Quebec artist Jean-Paul Riopelle and artworks by Group of Seven members Tom Thomson , Lawren Harris and A.Y. Jackson will be on display in Calgary .
The exhibit, which will run from Nov. 7 to 9 at Norberg Hall , will feature millions of dollars worth of artworks.
Monkman ’s representation of Canadian Indigenous life has been a powerful carrier of so many messages over the past decade , says Cowley .
The estimated worth of the works that will be previewed in Calgary ranging from the aforementioned Thomson at $500,000 to $ 700,000 .
On Nov. 27 , a live auction will be held in Toronto at The Globe & Mail Centre .
